16/11/2020 18 for All Too Hard

Vinery Stud Stallion All Too Hard (Casino Prince) sired his 18th individual stakes winner on Saturday when Allibor (3 g ex Libor Lady by Exchange Rate) took out the Sandown Guineas (Gr 2, 1600m) for trainer Symon Wilde and jockey Dean Yendall. The three-year-old prevailed by the minimum of margins over Sweet Reply (Deep Field), with a further length and three-quarters back to Valanetti (Sebring) in third. Returning $4.40, Allibor fended off the $2.70 favourite Sweet Reply despite idling in the closing stages to join the likes of dual Group 1 winner Behemoth and Australian Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) hero Alligator Blood as stakes winners for his sire, who is standing for a fee of $27,500 (inc GST) in 2020. Allibor was purchased from Book 1 of the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale in 2019, being knocked down to his trainer and Cameron Cooke Bloodstock for $60,000 from the draft of Blue Gum Farm.
